Microsoft Windows 7 Released!
Finally, Microsoft is releasing the highly anticipated next generation PC operating system! Early reviews of Windows 7 are overwhelmingly positive, which is exceedingly important due to the lack of traction the last release-Windows Vista-had. Towards that end, more than 70 percent of all PCs run Windows XP, which was released eight years ago.
The pricing of Windows 7 is similar to previous versions, with the Home versions running just above $100, which appears to be the historic price for new operating systems. The price point is well within reach for almost all households, bad economy not withstanding.
Features advertised by Microsoft include, but are not limited to:
- Record TV on the PC
- Running your PC more efficiently
- Streaming music on any network device
- XP mode
- Preventing data theft or loss
With demand for PCs on the rise and the holiday shopping season right around the corner, it appears as though Microsoft has a great product being released  at a time when individuals are beginning to spend more money on discresionary items. And while full scale adoption of Windows 7 may not occur until late in 2010, you can experience the best of Windows 7 today. |
