It is an age old struggle. Developer versus designer. And Microsoft and Adobe have been making ebbs and flows in each of their interpretations of the best balance between the two.
Now enter Google.
Google's claim: Developers and Designers can work together better with Google's App Engine.
So what is Google's App Engine? It was launched in April of this year and has been steadily growing and expanding in its use. The Google App Engine allows software developers use the Google infrastructure to run their applications. The Google App Engine encorporates persistent storage. The language of choice is Python currently. However, more language support is on the way. Serves dynamic web sites.
The main advantage of Google's App Engine is that it allows two worlds--the world of the Developers and the world of the Designers--to collaborate and better integrate their efforts. |
