Droid Poised To Take On iPhone
The Google, Motorola and Verizon Droid Android phone was officially released for public viewing on  Saturday, October 17th. And Droid has wasted no time in creating quite a stir. Those who have had the opportunity to use the Droid claim that its sophistication, especially from a hardware point of view, is better than any other phone to ever hit the market.
As a result, Droid poses a very real and significant competition to Apple's iPhone. In fact, Droid has two things which the iPhone lacks-the Verizon network and a slide out keyboard.
From a marketing perspective, Verizon is planning to launch a campaign highlighting the current shortcomings of iPhone when compared to Droid.
Look for Droid in stores just in time for the Christmas shopping season-November.
