Successfully managed the Infosys team of offshore and onshore software developers resulting in the delivery of 12 applications for Pazo, a soft-retail industry.
Pazo and its parent company were switching their financial software systems from an AS/400-based application to a .NET/SQL Server 2000 based Windows 2000 server environment.
Performed discovery, design, development, testing and deployment of .NET applications for Pazo financial software systems including: - Time and Attendance
- Sales Versus Payroll
- Store Supply Order
Microsoft toolset was utilized including:- VB.NET
- SQL Server 2000 Databases, Tables and Stored Procedures
- Crystal Reports
- Windows Scripts
Performed an onsite database/software review with Microsoft of CRS, Inc's Point of Sale system utilized by Pazo.
Identified areas where tight schedules resulted in less than optimal database design/software and suggested changes to the way Pazo managed CRS.
This included an assessment of risk to software changes and increased Pazo's presence in the change request process.
Provided systems analysis of complete SQL Server system encompassing multiple vendors (STS, IBM, Lawson, Infosys) and provided systems integration solution resolving server names, ftp addresses, server directory structures, user names, passwords, database names, and application input/output files empowering Pazo to move forward with its project. |
