Teamed with Microsoft to Perform Software and Database Review
When an client interface with a POS system utilized across the nation was experiencing issues, we teamed with Microsoft to perform an on-site software and database review of not only the POS system, but its interfaces with the client system and the overall process of sending time-critical financial data to the client's headquarters.
This database/software review with Microsoft of CRS, Inc.s Point of Sale system utilized by Chicos FAS, Inc. identified areas where tight schedules resulted due to less than optimal database and software design.
As a result, changes were implemented to the way the client managed CRS.
These changes included an assessment of risk to software changes and increased Chicos presence in the change request process.
The results were a better integrated system, a more effective process, better managed software modifications and a better awareness of risk management. |
