CRS Retrail Technology Group POS Software and Database Review
CRS Retail Technology Group, located in Newburg, New York provides Point of Sale software systems which are utilized by numerous retailers nationwide.
A little while back, a client, who was interfacing with a POS system in their stores nationwide was experiencing issues, we teamed with Microsoft.
An on-site software and database review was performed of not only the POS system, but its interfaces with the client system and the overall process of sending time-critical financial data to the client's headquarters.
This database/software review with Microsoft of the CRS Retail Group's Point of Sale system identified areas where tight schedules resulted due to less than optimal database and software design.
As a result, changes were implemented to the way the client managed CRS Retail Group.
These changes included an assessment of risk to software changes and increased client's presence in the change request process.
The results were a better integrated system, a more effective process, better managed software modifications and a better awareness of risk management. |
